Annual Mini World Cup
Clane United AFC kicked off their 50th anniversary celebrations in style on Wednesday evening as the Annual Mini World Cup commenced. In glorious sunshine over 240 children descended to the Doctor’s Road to begin a 3 day festival of football much to the delight of the large crowd of onlookers.
This year’s competition is split into 2 groups – 6 – 9 year olds are representing Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, USA, Bolivia, Uruguay, Columbia, Peru and Chile. The older group – 10-13 year olds are representing Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, \Poland, Croatia and Belgium.
The club shop is open for tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks and all visitors are welcome.
Come down and support this fun evening as it kicks off at 7pm each evening till Friday
